Healing Economic Trauma with Salutogenic Economic Design

If I Were A Spider — Web Fantasy Kaleidoscope by Roxy Riou

One of the greatest indicators of health is to have meaning or purpose in life. Weaving a web of meaning is not a solo job. Webs of meaning require mutual support. Peace Profits micro-solidarity groups help to unravel the old stories about who we are, find essential threads of positive connection, and reweave new narratives to co-create the world we want. Micro-solidarity groups, or “webs”, are woven to be regenerative and offer a lifetime of support, beginning with a three-phase prosocial process.

Phase One- Life has Meaning: Healing Economic Trauma

In Phase One, we take a deep dive into a new way of sensing, observing, and communicating what is true. Beneath the veil of economic trauma that darkens all we think, see, and do, we uncover a new sense of coherence to align our hearts and brighten our minds. If extractive economics has been the driving force of our culture, dominating history and determining how we see ourselves and each other, a new story of interconnectedness brings meaning and purpose into economic possibilities. The first step to healing economic trauma is to weave a new economic story that addresses our need for meaning and purpose. This is the goal of Phase One.

Phase Two- Life is Manageable: Cultivating Prosperity with IDEAL Economic Ecosystems

During Phase Two, we dare to dream from a unified field of coherence and connection. Cultivating our ability to collaborate and cooperate to meet our needs and wants will determine the richness and resiliency of our community’s economic ecosystems. Well- networked and well-resourced, we have stronger, more complex webs of connection, making life more manageable and prosperous. When our hearts are not at odds with brains, our needs are not energy drains. Rather, they are leverage points for synergy. Similarly, our conflicts are not dream killers but potential energy for transformative design. Thus engaged in the prosocial process, we learn how to cultivate cooperative and prosperous economic ecosystems that are IDEAL, or defined by Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, and Access to Land, Love, and Laughter. Phase Two provides a clear sense of purpose and vision to sustain our work.

Phase Three- Life is Comprehensible: Investing in Economic Drawdown toward Regenerative Future Security

In Phase Three, the process of ideation and co-creation becomes application and amplification. Held in integrity by our web and motivated through cooperation and synergy, barriers dissolve and resources materialize. The ability to develop our dreams defines our wealth, and is the most promising strategy to provide a return on investment in peace, prosperity, regeneration, and wellbeing for all. Our future security is no longer a compromise nor a sacrifice. It is not a competition nor a speculation. Phase Three puts the systems of in place to practice prosperity.

A twelve-week deep dive offers an essential orientation to the emergent economy that we will co-create. On this emergent journey together we will discover how to disentangle our binds and blocks and re-weave webs of meaningful relationships that support a deeper sense of coherence in our lives and our finances. We are building a wardrobe of investments to clothe ourselves like royalty in an optimal life experience that is measurably more prosperous, resilient, and regenerative.
